Funds for your studies: Under the funds-based option, show access to AUD 29,710 for 12 months of living costs, plus applicable tuition fees and travel expenses. Tuition is generally calculated for the first 12 months, less fees already paid; shorter study periods and stays use the applicable reduced amounts. Income evidence: Official government income documents issued within the 12 months before application must evidence the relevant annual income. This is an alternative to the funds-based option, not an additional compulsory income threshold for every applicant. [9]
English requirements: Where a test is required, the standard Student visa benchmark includes IELTS 6.0 overall or PTE Academic 47 overall for tests taken on or after 7 August 2025.
