Aged Parent Visa (Subclass 804 & 864)

The Aged Parent Visa allows parents to live permanently in Australia with their children who are Australian citizens, permanent residents, or eligible New Zealand citizens.
Applicants must be old enough to receive the Australian Age Pension — currently 67 years (for both men and women).

Eligibility

Parent Visa

The Parent Visa allows parents of Australian citizens, permanent residents, or eligible New Zealand citizens to live in Australia either temporarily or permanently.
To qualify, applicants must meet the Balance of Family Test, ensuring that at least half of their children live in Australia or that more of their children reside in Australia than in any other country.
All parent visa applicants must be sponsored by an eligible child who is settled in Australia.

Aged Parent Visa

The Parent Visa allows parents to migrate to Australia Permanently to join their children living in Australia. The Parent Visa requires sponsorship from an eligible child in Australia. For male applicants, the qualifying age is currently 65 years and for female applicants, the qualifying age ranges from 63 to 65 depending on the applicant’s date of birth.
